5 one editedThe Director of the Organisation for the Development of the Sector of Small and Medium Enterprises (ODIMM), Iulia Iabanji, participated on Friday 13 October in the “Excelence in Business” Forum organised by the Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry the Republic of Moldova – Romania.
The event, held at the Xth session of the Joint Intergovernmental Committee on Economic Collaboration between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, aimed at promoting the economic opportunities offered by our country, with opportunities intended to help create attractive and favourable conditions to support potential investors wishing to grow on the left of the route.
The Director of ODIMM spoke in the Forum about the history, the activity of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the Republic of Moldova and their impact in the country’s economy.
“The policies promoted in the field of the development of entrepreneurship in the country have led to a positive development of active enterprises, even though the SME sector continues to face numerous financial, legislative, bureaucratic and other difficulties. Over the last five years, the number of QMMs has been steadily increasing to 51.6 thousand,” said Director of the IMMO.4 one edited
Iulia Iabanji presented support programmes managed by DSOs to SMEs that have a significant impact on the development of the entrepreneurial environment in the Republic of Moldova, with a focus on the “PARE 1+ 1” Economic Repositation Programme, the National Youth Engineering Programme (PNAET), the Credit Guarantee Fund (FGC), Moldova Business Academy for Women’s Incubators’.
It should be noted that representatives of the Romanian Government and the Republic of Moldova, the business environment, investors and support organisations in the field of entrepreneurship in the two countries participated in the “Excelence in Business” forum.
