Prime Minister Ion Chicu, together with Director General ODIMM, Iulia Costin visited the location for the construction of an industrial platform in the village of Dănceni, Ialoveni district. The platform is to be set up on the territory of the former vocational school No 11 in the municipality, with an area of around 6.5 ha.

According to the Chief Executive, industrial platforms are an effective tool for the development of municipalities that contribute to the growth of the economy but also to the creation of new jobs in the area. “It is complicated to attract economic operators, but not impossible. We need to provide them with attractive investment conditions, to review the companies on the waiting list, and we will offer our full support ", said Ion Chicu.

Director General ODIMM, Iulia Costin mentioned that the Multifunctional Industrial Platforms to be created in the regions represent opportunities for the development of municipalities by creating new businesses, generating new jobs and subsequently increasing investments that will facilitate the local industry.

The local authorities argue that the identified buildings can be used and transmitted to economic operators. “We want to attract investors, contribute to the development and modernisation of the municipality. It is important that at the moment all the conditions of infrastructure, water networks, gasification are in place”, said the mayor of Dănceni village, Victoria butuc.

The pilot programme for the creation of the 16 Multifunctional Industrial Platforms is developed by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure. The platforms are to be created in districts with a lower industrialisation level, where there are no Industrial Parks or Free Economic Zone .
