2 July 2026, Chișinău – The Credit Guarantee Fund (CGF), managed by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), continues to strengthen access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises.

During the period April–June 2026, investments of more than MDL 854.35 million were generated through the guarantee instruments administered by ODA, representing an increase of more than twofold compared to the first quarter of the year, when investments amounted to MDL 355.31 million.

The results achieved in the second quarter confirm a significant increase in entrepreneurs' interest in financial guarantee instruments. Through the credit portfolio guarantee mechanism, guarantees amounting to MDL 32.41 million were issued, facilitating financing worth MDL 46.85 million and generating investments of MDL 58.85 million.

At the same time, under the individual guarantee mechanism, 160 financial guarantees were issued, representing a 54% increase compared to the first quarter of the year. The total value of the guarantees reached MDL 194.17 million, more than double the amount recorded during January–March 2026. These guarantees facilitated access to loans worth MDL 529.42 million and generated MDL 795.5 million in investments in the national economy.

Overall, during the second quarter of 2026, financial guarantees totaling MDL 226.58 million were issued through the Credit Guarantee Fund, facilitating loans amounting to MDL 576.27 million.

The beneficiary companies mainly operate in the agricultural sector, accounting for 43.13%, followed by businesses in the trade sector, with 16.87%. The investments are primarily directed toward the development of the agri-food and industrial sectors, the modernization of production processes, the expansion of operational capacities, and the enhancement of business competitiveness.

Entrepreneurs can benefit from the IMM GARANT and AGRO GARANT guarantee products, which facilitate access to financing for both investments and companies' working capital needs. Through these mechanisms, enterprises may obtain financial guarantees of up to MDL 20 million, with guarantee coverage of up to 80% under IMM GARANT and up to 70% under AGRO GARANT.

"The results recorded in the second quarter confirm the effectiveness of the guarantee instruments administered by ODA and the growing interest of entrepreneurs in these financing mechanisms. Compared to the first three months of the year, the value of guarantees issued, loans facilitated, and investments generated increased significantly, demonstrating that an increasing number of businesses are choosing to invest in development, modernization, and expansion. The Credit Guarantee Fund remains one of the key instruments through which we support SMEs' access to finance and contribute to boosting investment in the economy of the Republic of Moldova," said Vadim Indoitu, Deputy Director of ODA.

Overall, during the first half of 2026, the Credit Guarantee Fund generated investments exceeding MDL 1.2 billion, facilitated loans worth more than MDL 855 million, and provided financial guarantees exceeding MDL 347 million, contributing to the development and modernization of the entrepreneurial environment in the Republic of Moldova.
