Creation of new business in Moldova
Developing viable business support infrastructure is a strategic priority for the RM government. Business incubators are a tool for helping Small and Medium-sized Enterprises at the stage of initiators and plummeting the market, generating jobs and inviolating the spheres of the local economy.
On that theme, which started on 17 April 2012, at the premises of ME, a grant of press was held by Ms Iulia Iabanji, Director of the Organisation for the Development of the Sector of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (ME).
Director of the IMMO, Iulia Iabanji specified that “the creation of Business Incubators in republic raios is the EU’s content within the policy matrix for the sectoral support programme “Economic Simulation in Rural Zones”. For the purpose of the Development of Business Incubators in the State Budget in 2011-2012, RON 10.2 million and RON 15.1 million were envisaged.
“In analysing the relevant incubator model, the positive experience in setting up and managing the successful business incubator was taken into account. Soroca, created with the support of the ‘ENTRANSE 2 Your Business’ project, funded by the Government of Norway and implemented in partnership with the ODIMM, which had achieved tangible results over 2 years, proving the positive impact of that institute in the raion economy’, said Ms Iabanji.
The Director of the IMMO stated that “business incubators will be focused on the fields of production and the market of services. Celling 40 % of residents will typically be production-oriented, 50 % will work in the services market, the rest will provide services within the incubator, such as accounting, business, legal consultancy and other”.
According to ODIMM, for the purpose of the Development of 2 Business Incubators, in 2011, an analysis of the current state of play on the existence of the necessary building and the availability of the involvement of local public authorities in this process was carried out. Following the analysis carried out, based on the information submitted by the Councils of their readiness to engage and contribute, including with financial means in creating a business in the subordinated territory, 2 races were selected: Stefan-Voda and Leova.
On 12 April current, with the participation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Vlad Filat, Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Lazar and EU Ambassador for RM, Diuk Shubel, and Alti Officials, held the official opening of the Icubator at the time. Stefan-Voda. The Incubator has charges for incubation of 19 companies. The incubation of residents has already been launched, to date 12 companies in the field of production, including services, also in the field of services have been emitted. These companies offered 25 jobs.
The Organisation for the Development of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Sector is the institution responsible for the development of Business Incubators in the Republic of Moldova. Training for residents already selected and potentials to be incubati is carried out by the ODIMM, with the support of the ENTRANSE project and in conjunction with the raional Council.
the following three business incubators are envisaged to be set up in 2012. For this purpose, in January 2020, the proposals of local public authorities on their interest and willingness to create the business in the subordinated territory were requested on the basis of the criteria set out. The outcome of the analysis of the proposals made by local public authorities was acknowledged, who expressed their wish and the possibility to introduce the necessary building provision and actively engage in this process, including with a financial contribution. Thus, rioans were identified: Rezina, Singerei and Dubasari (Cosnita).
in the context of the above, the Government of the Republic of Moldova recognised and appreciates the important importance of the SME sector as the basis for the development of the national economy. The European Union Experienta shows that the SME sector can make a significant contribution to GDP, create new jobs, boost exports.
