Compensation for electricity: Lei 24.5 million transferred to the account of 556 companies
08 April 2025, Chisinau — Lei 24.5 million were transferred to the account of 556 companies in the form of compensation for electricity for January, February and partly in March 2025.
Compensation will continue to be granted throughout the year. The application process is simple and rapid: everything is done online, in the EVO application or on the MCabinet portal, where the “Compensations” module is available for eligible ones.
This programme, launched in January 2025, has a clear objective: reduce the burden of bills and in this way support the business environment. Over the period, changes were made to ensure that as many companies as possible have access to this support. Key changes include:
Extension of the deadline for submitting applications from 10 to 30 days from the date of issue of the invoice;
Deletion of the 3 % criterion;
Extending the programme to the whole of 2025, not only for a period of three months, as originally foreseen.
This programme, implemented by the Moldovan government with the support of the European Union, is a concrete measure to support the business environment in a context of increasing electricity costs.
