CCI and IMMO have signed a partnership agreement in the interest of SMEs
“We have common challenges that we will be able to overcome together more easily, i.e. both the CCI and the DSOs have as members and main beneficiaries, small and medium-sized enterprises, which are most affected by insufficient access to information, knowledge, funding programmes or professional business support services, including in the context of the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement – Deep and Comprehensive with the European Union. The partnership between our institutions and the inclusion of as many business support organisations into a development network will make it easier to achieve the objectives set,” said Valeriu Lazăr.
Other shared priorities of the two institutions are the professional training of frameworks and the development of entrepreneurial culture by launching early entrepreneurial education courses. This will allow companies to benefit from the sufficiently skilled workforce and a solid middle class can be increased to ensure the country’s economic and political stability. At the same time, in an open economy such as Moldova’s any company must be able to operate in an international environment and tend to export. In this regard, the CCI and the IMMOs will work together within the framework of the European Information Network – “Enterprise Europe Network” and support businesses in their innovative initiatives, including by accessing European programmes such as COSME.
The Parties will also promote international best practices in the area of business ethics and corporate social responsibility and induce the spirit of anti-corruption, including through the implementation of anti-corruption rules developed by the International Chamber of Commerce at company level.
