Around 460 entrepreneurs have completed training under the SME Digitalisation Support Tool
The first edition of training under the Digitalisation Support Tool has been successfully completed. Some 460 entrepreneurs took part in online training sessions from 18 August to 13 October, during which they improved their knowledge and skills on e-commerce opportunities and access to planning and adopting business digitalisation tools. Today, in an online event, ODSME partners in the implementation of the Programme: Startup Moldova (ATIC) and USAID Moldova presented their results. Iulia Costin, Director-General of ODIMM, highlighted the importance of training in the framework as it represents the future of business in the current circumstances. ‘The programme will help domestic producers digitalise their business processes and sell products or services on online platforms. It also supports businesses in setting up web pages, online shops, and providing grants to purchase digital technologies and solutions.’ The support instrument on digitalisation of the HMM was launched in June this year to support the digital transformation and development of small and medium-sized enterprises to tap into innovative potential and facilitate companies’ access to domestic and foreign markets. The programme contains 3 steps: Information and communication; Entrepreneurship education and training; Business finance. The instrument to support the digitalisation of small and medium-sized enterprises is financed from the state budget and replaced by EU funds, implemented by ODIMM, in agreement with the development partners GIZ Moldova, StartUp Moldova and GoOnline.
