Another 52 businesses created by Moldovan migrant workers or their relatives will benefit from a grant from the “PARE 1 + 1” programme
Today, 13 December, the PARE 1 + 1 Supervisory Committee meeting took place, where 52 investment projects submitted by migrant workers and their relatives were accepted for funding.
The investment projects concern cumulative investments of approximately RON 29.3 million, while the amount of grants requested under the Programme represents more than RON 9 million. As a result, 1 RON requested under ‘PARE 1 + 1’ will attract circa 3 LEI investments in the economy.
Analysis applications for funding shows that Moldovan migrant workers invests the accumulated savings predominantly in agriculture – 20 businesses (38 %), services – 16 businesses (31 %), I producer/processing – 13 businesses (25 %), only one application has been registered in tourism.
Most requests came from Mun. Chisinau (19.6 %), followed by the districts of Drochia, Orhei, Glodeni – 3 each, then Strășeni, Ialoveni, Cahul, Criuleni, Hâncești, Sângerei, Șoldănești, Ungheni, Telnești – 2 each, followed by the districts of Anenii Noi, Barsarabeasca, Cantemir, Călărași, Ceadîr-Lunga, Dubăsari, Edineț, Florești, Nisporeni, Ocnița, Râșcani, Soroca, Ștefan Voda, Taraclia, Leova – 1 each.
It is important to note that 35 enterprises out of the 52 registered under the Programme are newly created businesses with a period of activity of less than 12 months.
We reiterate thatN PARE 1 + 1 programme migrant workers and their relatives receive advice and information on business development opportunities, projects in the country, sources of financing for an investment project, legislative aspects of entrepreneurial activity, etc.
In addition, for improving entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, participants are trained in seminars, which are carried out on modules with a total duration of 50 academic hours (10 working days) and include the following topics:business registration, management, marketing, accounting, business planning, etc.
The programme is carried out under the ‘1 + 1’ rule, which stipulates that each leu invested from remittances will be replaced by a leu from the PARE. The maximum amount of financing granted is RON 200 thousand.
In this respect, ODSMEs call on their willing to start or develop businesses in order to gain entrepreneurial knowledge and non-repayable financial support.
