Another municipality in the North, part of the Multifunctional Industrial Platforms
Today, the Minister for Economic Affairs and Infrastructure, Sergiu Railean, accompanied by Iulia Costin, Director-General of ODIMM, made a working visit to the Florești district. The two officials met representatives of local public authorities on business activity, difficulties faced by entrepreneurs, state support instruments, the process of setting up the Multifunctional Industrial Platform (MIP) in Florești, and meetings with economic operators in the district.
During the meeting with representatives of the Florești District Council, the Minister enquired about the implementation of projects for the rehabilitation of local roads from the resources of the Road 2020 Programme, the creation and development of the MIP in Florești.
According to representatives of the District Council, on 8 October this year the working group was set up to set up the Florești MIP. To date, for the creation of the Multifunctional Industrial Platform, a plot of land in the outskirts of the city of Florești of approximately 61 ha has been identified, which is located close to all communications and is connected to the R13 regional road.
In this context, Sergiu Railean stated that business support platforms, regional industrial infrastructure are the tools through which LPAs will be able to develop local economies, attract investment, launch new businesses and jobs.
“We need MIPs in close terms to provide local and foreign investors with the infrastructure they need. Therefore, I want to ask you to strengthen our efforts, and if you have difficulties in this process, use my personal support and that of the Ministry’s team,” said Sergiu Railean.
As part of the visit, Sergiu Răilean and Iulia Costin also visited the New Farm company in Ciutulești village, Florești district. “We are glad that the enterprise supported by ODIMM has become a benchmark in our country,” said Iulia Costin.
According to the administrator, Leonid Negru, the company was founded in 2017 with the support of the ‘PARE 1 + 1’ programme, implemented by ODIMM. The producer grows ostriches for meat and eggs, which he plans to market on the internal and external market.
The farm currently has around 100 mature birds and chickens. The economic operator has set itself the goal of bringing the number of ostriches to 300 in the coming years.
