61 companies in Moldova obtain grants for energy efficiency and repowering
Administrators of 61 companies signed financing contracts with the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA) to receive grants from the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union of up to 2 million lei through Technology and Energy Efficiency Programme.
Economic agents accessed grants to optimise gas and electricity consumption by replacing obsolete equipment with modern ones or by installing alternative energy sources.
The total value of grants amounts to lei 47.3 million, while the total value of investment in the economy exceeds lei 117 million.
At the start of the event, Gheorghe Iudin, acting Director of ODA, highlighted the latest government initiatives to support access to finance for business. In his speech, it urged entrepreneurs to explore other entrepreneurial support tools available to develop their businesses in a sustainable way.
At the same time, company managers were informed about the contractual details and how to interact between ODA and beneficiaries to ensure an efficient and productive relationship in project implementation.
Silvia Doganic, is the management of the “CAMPEN-COM” furniture plant and accessed a grant of lei 1.6 million. The Antreprenosis opted to describe the investment project submitted to ODA for the implementation of alternative energy sources in the furniture manufacturing process.
‘With this financial support, we aim to procure machines that make the factory more efficient and at the same time optimise the production time of mobile parts. With new machines we will process more materials and obtain products of comparable quality to those of Great Britain and Canada, where we are already exporting and recognised for our quality“it mentioned business woman.
We would point out that the Technology and Energy Efficiency Programme was launched in summer 2022, and to date the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA) has provided under this programme grants totalling lei 248.7 million for 303 companies.
This programme is financed by the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union through ODA.
