44 PARE 1 + 1 beneficiaries signed grant contacts with ODIMM
The Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) has today signed grant contacts with 44 beneficiaries of the PARE 1 + 1 project. The total amount of the grant is RON 8.42 million, which will help to attract RON 24.34 million to the economy. The implementation of these investment projects is expected to open up 131 new jobs, of which 52 for women.
Entrepreneurs who are beneficiaries of the PARE 1 + 1 project come from 21 districts of the Republic. Out of a total of 44 enterprises, 6 are active in mill. Chisinau and 38 operate in rural areas.
The signatories of the contracts are to contribute their share of the investment according to the 1 + 1 rule of the money earned in 15 states: Italy, Russia, Germany, USA, Spain, UK, Australia, Israel, France, Malta, New Zealand, Romania, Portugal, Sweden and Thailand.
Of the total number of companies applying for grants, 68 % are active in agriculture, 23 % are active in the provision of services and 9 per cent of beneficiaries will be active in manufacturing.
Since the beginning of this year, ODIMM has signed 70 grant contracts in the amount of RON 14 million.
The PARE 1 + 1 programme aims to mobilise the human and financial resources of Moldovan migrant workers in the sustainable economic development of the Republic of Moldova by stimulating the creation and development of small and medium-sized enterprises by migrant workers and remittances beneficiaries. The programme operates under the ‘1 + 1’ rule, so that each leu invested from remittances will be replaced by a leu in the form of a grant under the Programme.Grant beneficiaries may be migrant workers, citizens of the Republic of Moldova and beneficiaries of remittances, first-degree relatives.
