4 March 2025, Chisinau The “First Casă Plus” government programme supported 2000 families in the Republic of Moldova in house purchase.

Beneficiaries have 35 years on average and the price of dwellings purchased under this programme ranges between 400000 and 2.5 million lei.

The total value of loans approved through the programme amounts to lei 2.5 billion, and the State, via the Entrepreneurship Development Organisation, has guaranteed loans totalling nearly lei 1.5 billion.

Programme statistics show increased interest in urban areas, where 90 % of beneficiaries have purchased housing. The remaining 10 % opted for property in rural areas. As regards the typology of dwellings, 90 % of them are flats and 10 % are individual houses.

Officially launched in August 2024, the “First Casă Plus” is part of a government initiative that facilitates access to housing finance.
