The Ministry of Economy informs public and private companies that the Central European Initiative (ECI) launched the call for project proposals for 2 015 in areas such as European integration and capacity building, economic and social development, equality and social inclusion, agriculture, environment and climate. The deadline for applications is 1 June 2015.

KEP AUSTRIA finances up to 50 % of the total cost of the project and not more than EUR 50.000 from the project. The Programme may apply public and private companies, national or international organisations, NGOs working in the public interest, national, regional and local authorities, education/research organisations, environmental institutions and organisations.

The main requirements to apply are propose activities to address problems and needs, suggest a clear set of beneficial activities, which in the future could serve as good practice in similar activities, but also aim at creating impact through several activities and instruments.

The indicative amount for this call is EUR 170.000, which is made available by the Austrian Government and co-financed by the Austrian Development Cooperation through an agreement between the ECI and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).

The European Central Initiative (ECI) is an intergovernmental forum for cooperation between the Centre, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. Its core mission is the Regional Cooperation for European Integration, but also the promotion of political, economic, cultural and scientific cooperation between Member States. The initiative was formed in 1989, and the ECI is now reunifying 18 states. The Republic of Moldova acceded to the ECI in 1996.
