Chisinau, 5 October 2024 — Vadim Codreanu, Director of the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship, visited Ștefan Vodă and Cimișlia raios yesterday, where they met with local entrepreneurs to discuss opportunities for economic development and access to finance through government programmes managed by ODA.

The meeting in Ștefan Vodă took place at the Raional Council, where the Director of ODA discussed with entrepreneurs how to increase their income and access their export markets, in the context of Moldova’s integration into the European Union.

Vadim Codreanu highlighted the facilities that entrepreneurs can have through the Programme 373 and encouraged them to participate in Antreprenor Expo 2024, a major business development event to be held in Moldexpo on 10-13 October.

“We are here to understand directly the needs of local entrepreneurs. Through ODA, we support entrepreneurs across the country in their development efforts and in strengthening the national economy. On behalf of the organisation and my staff, I invite you to discover in detail the ODA funding products at the big event next week. An entrepreneur Expo 2024 is an excellent platform to present innovative ideas and attract the resources needed to expand into new markets," said Vadim Codreanu.

After the meeting in Ștefan Vode, the Director of ODA moved to the Business Incubator in Cimișlia, where he discussed with local entrepreneurs their needs and funding opportunities and support for business expansion. During the discussions, Vadim Codreanu also presented the Government Programme 373, an essential tool for small and medium-sized business development, highlighting the advantages it offers to entrepreneurs to access favourable financing of up to lei 40 million.

The meetings were marked by an active presence of more than 70 entrepreneurs. The event in Ștefan Vodă was also present in Olga Luchian, President of the Ștefan Vode raion, while the meeting in Cimișlia was attended by Andrian Talmaci, President of Cimișlia raion.

In the period 2022-2024, in the Ștefan Vodă and Cimișlia rioans, 35 companies received non-repayable financial support totalling lei 12.5 million. Moreover, through the Programme 373, eight entrepreneurs in these ralls took loans worth lei 26.3 million, facilitating investments of more than lei 40 million in local business.

Visits to the territory are an integral part of the ODA mission to promote support programmes for entrepreneurs but also to ensure direct connection with local entrepreneurs. In the coming period, such meetings will continue in the central and northern regions of the country.
