Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship, member of the European family of guarantee institutions
Today, 15 September, the organisation for the development of entrepreneurship (ODA) became a member of the 48th European Association of Guarantee Institutions (AECM). The AECM General Assembly in Vienna is attended by the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy, Vadim Gumene and the Acting Director of ODA, Dumitru Pîntea.
State Secretary Vadim Gumene in his speech to AECM members highlighted the aspiration of the Republic of Moldova in developing strong economic cooperation with key European partners in all dimensions, expressing gratitude for support provided by the European Union in support of entrepreneurs with growth potential. And, at the same time, of milkinghumite partners of the Romanian National Credit Guarantee Fund for SMEs for expertise and facilitation of ODA access to AECM.
“Modern financial instruments must be managed by a strong institution and the Ministry of Economy has focused this year on reforming the Organisation for Entrepreneurship Development, ensuring the key elements for its good functioning, with a corporate governance based on international best practices”.
‘ODA it is the institution managing the sole credit guarantee fund in the Republic of Moldova, which over the years has demonstrated its efficiency and necessity in the credit market. With this adherence, ODA will have the opportunity to benefit from international expertise for the continuous improvement of guarantee processes, which will target precisely the needs of the business environment’, declared the interim Director of ODA, Dumitru Pîntea.
The AECM is the most important body promoting guarantee instruments and programmes at European level, consisting of 48 organisations, from 31 European countries and neighbouring the continent. All member organisations share the mission of providing loan guarantees to SMEs that present an economically viable project but cannot provide sufficient gBank guarantees.
The AECM serves as a platform for exchanging best practices on a variety of operational issues faced by SMEs, while at the same time offering a number of advantages to its members, such as: continuous information on European policy on guarantee schemes; facilitating direct communication with representatives of the European institutions and other stakeholders; promoting members to events of the European institutions, helping members to gain access to EU financial instruments, and more.
