The Entrepreneurship Development Organization has opened the call for applications from commercial banks to participate in the new loan portfolio guarantee scheme supported by the World Bank-funded SME Competitiveness Project in Moldova.

This initiative represents a significant step in promoting the sustainable development of small and medium-sized enterprises, giving them access to essential financial resources for the consolidation and expansion of their activities, by guaranteeing the requested loans on favourable terms.

Call for applications:

Open from 15 November 2023.

Aim of the initiative:

To unlock financial intermediation for SMEs by partially guaranteeing their loan portfolio.

SMEs will be able to benefit from guaranteed loans with a simplified application procedure, as no application approval from the Guarantor will be required and a pre-approved guarantee cap will be provided for the loan portfolios to be formed by the Lenders.
