Free courses for companies in the medicinal and aromatics industry
ODIMM announces enrolment at free entrepreneurial training courses for managers of companies in the medicinal and aromatics industry. The training will take place between June and October 2022 through the cross-border project‘HEGO – Plants for Growth’ implemented within Joint Operational Programme in the Black Sea basin 2014-2020.

‘Entrepreneurship training programme in the growth, production, promotion and marketing of erbacee plants (medicines, aromatics, conditioning) and plant products with added value’ it is intended for QMMs, to agricultural undertakings in the Republic of Moldova, which carry out activities of cultivation and production in the sectors of medicinal, aromatics, conditions and plant products of high commercial value, as well as entrepreneurs carrying out related activities such as collection, marketing, branding, promotion and trade.
Other participants, representing public institutions at national, regional or local level, may also be part of the training programme; Sectoral agencies, interest groups, including NGOs, higher education and research institutions, education/training centres, Business Support Organisations and other actors working in the field.
The entrepreneurial training programme is the first of its kind in the Republic of Moldova and involves the deployment of 400 theoretical and practical hours, conducted in hybrid format, with online and physical teaching. Practical workshops will take place in the field and in enterprises specialised in the processing, production, packaging and promotion of plant products.
The entrepreneurial training programme is intended for SMEs, agricultural enterprises in the Republic of Moldova, which carry out activities of cultivation and production in the sectors of medicinal, aromatics, conditions and plant products of high commercial value, as well as entrepreneurs carrying out activities related to the sector such as collection, marketing, branding, promotion, and trade. The training programme may also include other participants representing public institutions at national, regional, or local level; Sectoral agencies, interest groups, including NGOs, higher education and research institutions, education/training centres, Business Support Organisations, and other actors working in the field.
The Training Programme covers modules and themes aimed at the entrepreneurial training of target groups and the promotion of new knowledge, techniques and technologies in the Herb sector, for the training of new skills and competences in business development:
— Exchange of the best knowledge to promote the cultivation of new and unique (endemical and extinction) species;
— Plant processing and obtaining of plant products of diversified commercial value;
— Certification of plants and plant products with commercial added value;
— Promotion and trade in aromatic medicinal products, conditions of increased commercial value (example, food supplements, plant products, beverages, personal care products, cosmetics, etc.);
Changes to traditional methods of plant cultivation and production, by developing entrepreneurial activities adapted to new challenges in the production of sustainable plants and brands on a cross-border basis;
— Improving farmers’ skills and knowledge, in line with best practices and international quality standards;
Understanding and participating in business finance programmes in the growth, production, promotion and trade of plants and medicinal products, aromatics, conditioning, high commercial value;
— Trading and promotion through a common marketing and branding strategy for products in plants with added value;
— Use information technologies (ICT) and social network services (SNS) for carrying out e-commerce in plants and plant products;
During the training, participants will be able to access the project’s E-learning Platform, which will support the training of participants even outside the training programme. Training modules of the programme, training materials developed, as well as practical work on cultivation and philosophy techniques, plant processing methods and plant products in partner countries of the project, etc. will be accessible through the platform.
In order to modernise agricultural activities in erbace plants from the cultivation phase to the promotion and marketing of high commercial value plant products, the HEGO project provides for a self-sustaining training process and training participants, as well as other persons not initially registered in the programme, will have free access to all e-learning platform materials, including after the HEGO project has been completed.
