Entrepreneurs in the southern country, informed about access to finance through ODA programmes
Chisinau, 24 September 2024 — Vadim Codreanu, Director of the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship, has today visited the southern country, where it spoke to entrepreneurs of Cahul, Leova and Cantemir raios on opportunities for business development through government programmes.
The meetings were held at the University of “B.P. Hasdeu” in Cahul and the Business Incubator in Leova, where Vadim Codreanu focused on Government Programme 373, an essential tool to support the development of entrepreneurs.
The Director ODA also discussed with entrepreneurs in the region the challenges they face, presenting as an alternative the possibility of accessing non-repayable funding provided by the Moldovan government and the European Union.
“Access to finance and information is essential for entrepreneurs in all regions of the country to overcome the challenges and develop their business. Through programmes managed by ODA in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation, we aim to create equal opportunities for all entrepreneurs, regardless of location, so that we jointly contribute to strengthening the national economy", mentioned Vadim Codreanu.
Among the entrepreneurs present in the discussion was also Ecaterina Vulpe, a Rosau burricula, the Cah rion, who accessed a loan under Programme 373 to develop their agricultural business. It has invested in modern technologies, which have allowed productivity growth and the expansion of the market.
“It was never the gender of person asking for State aid. Every life worked to develop my business in its own powers. However, the programme 373 surprised me to its specificities. It is undoubtedly the most advantageous tool that entrepreneurs can access at this point in time“”, said antreprenation.
Since the programme was launched, southern entrepreneurs have accessed loans worth lei 100 million for projects with a total investment value of lei 137 million.
Moreover, in 2022-2024, under the non-repayable financial support programmes, 61 companies in Cahul, Cantemir and Leova raios received grants, the total value of financial support amounting to approximately lei 19.6 million.
