The ODIMM launches the Call for Participation in Business revitalisation pilot initiative for undertakings in difficulty. The purpose of this competition is to select 5 local companies that will benefit from business acceleration services, where industry experts will guide entrepreneurs in revitalising or restructuring the business.

Target group:

1. Micro and small enterprises wishing to revitalise their business;

2. Entrepreneurs who fail and want to start a new business;

3. Micro and small enterprises affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Services offered:

I. Consultancy

The consultancy service involves assessing the current situation of the business and preparing future forecasts based on:

· Individual examination of the undertaking’s business and identification of the needs of the undertaking;

· Consulting entrepreneurs on the business decision-making process;

· Consultation on the steps to be taken in the management of the business;

· Consulting entrepreneurs on the challenges that arise in managing a business;

· Consulting entrepreneurs on the appropriate time to start a new business;

· Specialised guidance on several areas:marketing, development of new products, technology transfer, intellectual property protection, business communication skills, legal aspects of business management, etc.

II. Business acceleration

From 1 November 2020 until 30 April 2021, selected entrepreneurs will benefit from mentoring sessions on how to organise working processes within the company, business planning, product development, production process, contract and legislation design and interpretation, identification of funding sources, etc. The acceleration service is based on an individual approach and the assistance provided will be tailored to the needs of the selected entrepreneurs.

This competition is organised under the DanubeChance2.0 project – “Finding failure to facilitate entrepreneurs’ access to second chance in the Danube region” is co-financed by the European Union through the Danube Transnational Programme. The project aims to develop entrepreneurial policies for second chance and practical solutions to improve entrepreneurial culture to avoid losing entrepreneurial potential and overcome the stigmatisation of entrepreneurs after business bankruptcy. The DanubeChance2.0 project is implemented by a consortium of 17 partners from 13 countries of the Danube Region (Slovenia, Romania, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Ukraine, Belgium, Italy, Slovakia and Serbia) being led by the Hungarian IFKA Public Benefit Non-profit Ltd. The organisation for the development of the sector of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, as a project partner, and the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, as an associated strategic partner, contribute to the creation of a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova who face difficulties, bankruptcy or wish to launch a new business.
