1 November 2024, Chisinau— Around 100 entrepreneurs in the Ocnița and UTA Găgăuzia UTA participated today in meetings with representatives of the administration of the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship.

In the city of Ocnița, Director ODA, Vadim Codreanu, participated in a meeting bringing together local entrepreneurs from various economic sectors.

In the context, the Director ODA presented the entrepreneurial support mechanisms, financially supported by the Moldovan government and the European Union and managed by ODA, while advising entrepreneurs to access the funds needed to increase investment capital.

The direct relationship with local entrepreneurs is essential for me as Director of ODA and the success of our mission to develop a strong and sustainable entrepreneurial environment in all regions of the country. We have made ambitious commitments and to achieve them it is vital to have an open and constant dialogue with business, understand the challenges they face and provide them with the solutions needed for growth and development.” said Vadim Codreanu.

At the same time, the Head of ODA Operations Directorate ISAE Spânu met with over 50 entrepreneurs in UTA Găgusia, where they presented them with the opportunities available through grant programmes and other entrepreneurial support mechanisms. ISAE Spânu stressed the importance of government programme 373, a tool through which Moldovan companies can access the capital needed for investments, thus enabling them to strengthen their business and develop sustainably in a competitive economic environment.

ODA aims to build lasting partnerships with regional authorities, business advisory centres and other support organisations, turning them into local collaborators to actively support the implementation of our support programmes. To this end, we will organise regular information and dialogue sessions with the business environment in all regions to thoroughly understand the needs of local entrepreneurs and broaden the scope of support offered throughout the economic community,” stressed ISAE Spinu

According to internal ODA data, in the last two years 174 companies in UTA Găgăuzia and North-Eastern raios benefited from non-repayable grants provided by the Government, the European Union and other external partners through ODA, bringing the total amount of support to almost RON 60 million.

Moreover, during the same period, 65 companies in these regions accessed funds via the Government Programme 373 in order to increase their investment capital, the value of the loans dedicated to business development coming in at almost lei 300 million.

Between September and October this year, ODA management carried out working visits to all regions of the Republic of Moldova, meeting around 500 entrepreneurs from 16 races.
