2 October 2026, Chisinau — A delegation from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) paid a working visit to one of the beneficiaries of the “FACEM Impact” financing product. The visit took place in the context of the Strategic Dialogue between the Governments of the Republic of Moldova and Germany on development cooperation, held from 29 September to 2 October.

The German officials were accompanied during the field visit by representatives of the German Embassy in Chișinău, the German Development Bank (KfW), and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The visit was also attended by the management of the Organisation for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) and experts from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

The visit was carried out as part of the “SME Development Facility of Moldova” project, financed by the German Government through the German Development Bank KfW and aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in the Republic of Moldova. The project is implemented by ODA as the Project Executing Agency, with the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management acting as the implementation consultant.

The visit took place at MIMIMI CAKES S.R.L., a company founded in 2017 in Ialoveni and managed by entrepreneur Loredana Poparcea. The company operates under the Miro Cakes & More brand and specializes in creating custom cakes and premium desserts for events and special occasions.

Through the “FACEM Impact” financing product, the company obtained an investment loan to expand its operations and open two new locations in Chișinău. The visit took place at the new location at 10/3 Moscova Blvd., where the renovation works, including the purchase of furniture and professional equipment, were financed through the “FACEM Impact” financing product.

Entrepreneurs can access the “FACEM Impact” financing product for investments, benefiting from loans of up to MDL 5 million, with a fixed interest rate starting from 4% and a repayment period of up to 10 years, negotiated with the partner bank. They may also negotiate a grace period for the repayment of the investment loan and benefit from VAT exemption with the right of deduction for goods and services paid for from the loan proceeds.
