Module 5. Greening SME
Duration of training: 24 academic hours
This course is for you if:
- You intend to apply for the ODA support programme "Greening SMEs"
- You hold the position of manager in Small and Medium Enterprises;
- You intend to renovate your company's machinery for energy efficiency;
- You intend to improve the environmental management system in the enterprise;
- You intend to identify solutions to develop greening policies for your business.

2.1 Improving the environmental management system (SME)

- Auditing the environmental management system;
- Development of the company's environmental policy;
- Development of methods to evaluate the effectiveness of the company's existing environmental management system;
- Recommendations on how to increase the effectiveness of the EMS (environmental management system);
- Consultations with responsible specialists on the implementation of the recommendations made (or support for the company during implementation);
- Education and training of employees on how to reduce the environmental burden in production activities.
2.2 Waste, Circular Economy and Recycling in Green Businesses

- Development of waste reduction measures;
- Developing recommendations for hazardous waste management, recycling;
- Economic analysis of waste reduction measures

3.1 Green business

- Auditing the enterprise for compliance with standards, ISO 14001, "EMAS", "EU Ecolabel";
- Development of proposals for the creation of a programme of measures to bring the enterprise closer to the standard;

3.3 Responsible purchasing

4.1 Sustainability strategy

- Identify the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) where the company has the greatest negative impact and where the company can have a positive impact;
- Audit of the areas of the company's activities that are of key importance to the selected SDGs;
- Development and analysis of solutions for the formation of a sustainable development strategy;
- Setting objectives and targets for each area;
- Synthesise the material gathered into a final sustainable development strategy

4.2 ESG reporting (ESG - environmental goods and services)

- Auditing the areas of the company's activities that are key to the selected ESGs;
- Develop a system to evaluate the effectiveness of strategy implementation, analysis;
- Recommendations for future action planning;
- Reporting according to the chosen standard.

At the end of the module you will be able to:
- Apply to the SME Greening programme;
- Draw up a green business plan;
- Develop an efficient enterprise development strategy implementing green economy principles;
- Evaluate the greening of the business.
Nota bene!
Upon completion of the training module participants will obtain certificates of participation. Certificates are offered to participants who have a minimum 60% participation margin in the training courses.
